In NYC

We've all made it to Newark and then to NYC, but it's been long day.  The first batch had long lines at security but everyone made it on time and the flight went off on time.  After a shuttle ride through traffic they made it to the Sheraton Hotel in Jamaica, NY - near JFK airport.  Dinner at the hotel was good, though service was slow (and it was rather pricey).  Despite talk of seeing the town, the lack of easy transportation and an early start tomorrow kept the crew in the hotel.

The fearsome threesome of group two (Instructor Martha plus Emily T. and Lindsey U.) had no line at check in or security and then faced a flight delay!  We got off the ground about 2 hours late (around 4:30).  Martha learned a lesson about checking your bag really early. It might end up at a different terminal!  But we connected with bags, had a long taxi ride to the hotel (but no traffic) and were glad the restaurant was still open.

Our shuttle leaves at 6:30 am for the airport and I know I won't rest easy until we're on it and taxiing down the runway.
