Beautiful. Wish you where here!

We've had a couple of great days with fantastic weather - cloudless skies and low to mid 80s.  Good days for sight seeing.  On Sunday we traveled to Cape Point.  Pictures can't do it justice.  Although it's not quite the southern most tip of Africa, it's pretty darn close!  The drive down was pretty and the views from the light house were fantastic.  A few of our group had a near run in with the Cape Point baboons, but quickly realized they should not walk around with muffins in their hands.  After Cape Point, we went to Boulder Beach in Simon's Town for a picnic and to see the African penguins - the product of penguins that reached the African continent in the 1980's (no typo - yes that recently).  A board walk to the beach  where they hang out brings you remarkably close.  The white sands, crystal clear water, penguins, palm trees....heaven.   Our final group dinner was back in Cape Town at Marco's African Restaurant - check out the menu:  http://www.marcosafricanplace.co.za/

Monday was a free day and there was lots going on!  Shark diving, museum hopping, swimming at the beach, long walks to the tram to head up to the top of Table Mountain (one of our bunch walked to the mountain and then up the mountain and back!), taxi rides to the tram, lunches and then dinners at a variety of restaurants....  A day of sun and fun!

We now start the long track home today: Cape Town to Johannesburg to Washington DC (with an hour stop in Dakar) to Chicago to Minneapolis, starting at what will be 6:10 am Tuesday Minneapolis time and arriving Wednesday 1:53 pm.   Send positive vibes that we have not delays or cancellations!
