Delayed!!

Not off to a great start - United Airlines has cancelled the flight to Chicago, thus making it hard to get to DC.  The CGE travel agent has us now flying to Newark, NJ on Thursday so that we can catch the Friday flight to Johannesburg from JFK.  We'll arrive in J'burg in the morning then catch a flight to Windhoek.   But our original flight out of DC to South Africa isn't cancelled - if we could just get to DC in time!  

If we do have to be delayed, We'll have to make changes in the schedule.  The biggest change is that we won't be able to fit in the homestays.    That's a disappointment, but the homestays are sometimes a source of anxiety, so some of us may feel a bit less anxious.  I'm sure we'll still get a good feel for life in Windhoek.

We'll also meet as a group on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons this week to discuss readings and maybe see a video. 

since it is only the Mpls to Chicago leg that is cancelled, I'm still holding out hope for another route to DC!
